Mount Etna

Mount Etna is the Italy’s highest peak south of the Alps. It is an active stratovolcano located between two cities – Messina and Catania.  Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro

This reserve was established in 1981. Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro was the first natural reserve in Sicily. It stretches for about seven kilometers along the Gulf of Castellammare coastline. The park has beautiful flora and fauna. Cars are not allowed beyond the parking lot. It gives you an opportunity to take a walk along the beautiful coastline admiring the scenery. Sailing along the coast is among the activities that can create a great adventure as you will have an opportunity to see the fish very closely.

Isola di Favignana

In English, this is translated as the island of Favignana. It belongs to the group of islands known as the Aegadian Islands. The Island is a beautiful destination full of activities. Tourists catch the Egadilandia train which takes a tour along the coastline. People also can dive into the pristine waters of Favignana.

Riserva Naturale Orientata Cavagrande del Cassibile

Riserva Naturale Orientata Cavagrande del Cassibile is another natural reserve. It is covered with canyons which are carved by the Cassibile River and flora and fauna of the Mediterranean region. The reserve is not as large as the Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro, but it has an eye-captivating view. The reserve has a limestone plateau that is located in its south. The plateau is full of karst features. The gorge here has a unique fauna with endemic plants. In spring, the flower blossom makes the area even more beautiful.
